Bookshop Assistant
The Bible Society of the South Pacific is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Bookshop Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who has a heart for ministry, enjoys interacting with people, and is passionate about promoting and sharing God’s Word through Christian literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting Bibles, Christian books, and related resources
- Handle daily sales transactions and maintain accurate records
- Support stock management, shelving, and display of products
- Maintain a welcoming and orderly bookshop environment
- Assist with promotional activities and ministry-related events when required
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of Secondary School Education with Commerce, or
- A Diploma in Marketing (or related field)
Requirements
- Must be a committed Christian with a passion for sharing God’s Word
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer and cash-handling skills
- Honest, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
- Group 2 Driving license would be an added advantage
Desirable Attributes
- Interest in Christian ministry and outreach
- Experience in retail or bookshop operations (an advantage but not required)
